LeanFit® was developed by Richard Pierce, a pioneer in the Canadian sports nutrition industry, who believes that being healthy comes from informed and intentional choices. Richard has inspired and motivated people of all ages, abilities and lifestyles to improve their physical fitness through simple, positive changes in the way they eat, think and exercise.

How it All Began

As a gym owner in the 1980’s, Richard brought in sports supplements to sell to his members. He often had to order the products from outside Canada and wasn’t happy with the quality and resulting effectiveness.
He studied the science behind supplements and began formulating high-quality sports nutrition products in his own kitchen. Demand for Richard’s products quickly grew into a hugely successful brand of sports supplements.

Why LeanFit®

After selling his first brand, Richard soon noticed a lack of affordable sources of quality protein to meet the growing needs of recreational athletes, baby-boomers, families and serious bodybuilders. In collaboration with formulation scientists and with help from consumer input and the latest market research, the LeanFit® brand was created in 2002. LeanFit® was founded because Richard felt strongly that people wanting to improve their health, performance and vitality should have access to quality products and information to support their active lives.

LeanFit Today

These days, LeanFit products are found in retail locations across Canada and throughout the world, as well as a growing online presence in several countries. The company continues to develop innovative sports and nutrition products to meet the changing needs of consumers world-wide.
